| What "green" means to office products |
| Buying recycled ink cartridges saves money—sometimes as much as 30% of the price of an original cartridge. Recycled paper saves energy and water. It is slightly more expensive than virgin paper, but the price could go down as the market for it grows. |

| Recycling facts |
Here are some facts from Chuck Carr, vice president of member services, meetings, and marketing and communications for Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI).
"Currently, 40% of all municipal waste is made up of paper and paperboard products. What is not recycled goes to landfills. Given high landfill costs, each ton of paper removed from the waste stream means 3 cubic yards less landfill space needed. |

| According to the EPA, each ton of paper made from recycled materials: |
|
Requires 7,000 fewer gallons of water in the manufacturing process. |
|
Saves approximately 4,100 kilowatt hours of energy. |
